It is God who makes us beautiful
It is God who gives us radiance.
It is God who gives us a lovely depth.
It is God who gives us honest love.
It is by God’s strength we give honest love.
It is God who makes all things glorious.

Thank you, Jesus, for your tender loving care.
Thank you, Jesus, for your persistence and patience.
Thank you, Jesus, for your constant companionship.
Thank you, Jesus, we are never alone.
Thank you, Jesus, for your death, burial and resurrection.

Isaiah 40:6-7 (New Living Translation)

“Shout that people are like the grass.
Their beauty fades as quickly
as the flowers in a field.
The grass withers and the flowers fade
beneath the breath of the LORD.
And so it is with people.
The grass withers and the flowers fade,
but the word of our God stands forever.”

Hinds’ Feet on High Places

“The Shepherd laughed and answered, Only Love can really understand the music and the beauty and the joy which was planted in the heart of all created things. Have you forgotten that two days ago I planted the seed of Love in your heart? Already it has begun to make you hear and see things which you did not notice before. As Love grows in you, Much-Afraid, you will come to understand many things which you never dreamed of before. You will develop the gift of understanding many ‘unknown tongues’ and you will learn to speak Love’s own language too, but first you must learn to spell out the alphabet of Love and to develop hind’s feet. Both these things you will learn on the journey to the High Places, and now here we are at the river, and over on the other side, the foothills of the mountains begin. There we shall find our two guides waiting for you” (Hurnard, 2018).
